This elegant vintage hanhaba obi is in the odori style, and has on one side a fan design in royal purple and metallic gold colors. On the other side is a white and metallic gold colored tortoiseshell pattern. Obi do not hold kimono onto a person's body, but rather are a decorative accent. Obi are formalities and gender expressions. This kind of obi is considered informal for women.
Either side of this obi can be worn outwardly, making it similar to two obi looks for the price of one.
