Shop @ Our Kimono Warehouse! June 12 & 13

Join us for 'Ohio Mini-Matsuri' an open house shopping event! This is your chance to visit our kimono warehouse and shop in person from among our thousands of kimono, obi, haori, and more in stock. Additionally, there will be in-person kimono shopping assistance, a hanhaba obi tying workshop, and an on-site kimono dressing instructor offering personalized 1 on 1 kimono dressing lessons.


*Date: June 12th & 13th, 2021 (Saturday & Sunday) *Time: 11am to 6pm *Address: 6647 Garden Rd, Maumee Ohio 43537 (brick building, parking on the side of the building only) *Covid Protocols: We care about safety, and are taking extra steps to protect everyone. We will have an outdoor setup of many of our kimono, ideal for browsing in the fresh open air. Additionally, in the warehouse, there will be a limited of 3 customers at a time present. Surfaces frequently touched will be sanitized throughout the day. Properly worn face masks are required to attend. If you are uncomfortable or unable to wear a face mask, please feel free to shop with us online.


*In-Person Shopping: We will have a large selection of authentic kimono set up for shopping and browsing outside, in a fresh open-air setting. This will include a large selection of seasonal kimono: yukata and unlined styles ready for summer and autumn in addition to obi and kimono dressing accessories. The on-site kimono warehouse will be open for shopping as well, and will be limited to 3 people at a time, and will have stocked in it the off-season kimono.


*Hanhaba Obi Lesson @ 3pm: Each day there will be a hanhaba obi dressing demonstration showing a few different styles. Hanhaba obi are an informal type of obi worn by women in casual settings such as during a Matsuri. These kinds of feminine obi are ideal for anyone new to wearing obi, and can be very expressive and fun to wear.


*Han-Eri collar sewing lesson @ 1pm on June 12th! Learn how to attach a han-eri collar onto your juban! This is a beginner-friendly class, and you will get a FREE han-eri and we will provide you with sewing supplies. If you have never sewn before, it's okay we will tach you!


*Personal Kimono Dressing Lessons: Want to have a 1 on 1 kimono dressing less that is focused on you, and your unique needs? Regardless of dressing skill level, you can hire an on-site kimono dressing instructor to give you personalized kimono dressing lessons, and assist with your shopping needs. These personal dressing and shopping lessons will be provided by Traeonna, who is in training to become a professional kimono dresser and instructor.
