We are excited to announce that this weekend we will be a vendor at one of the oldest and longest running Japanese festivals in the USA, Ginza Holiday. This traditional Japanese Festival is celebrating its 63rd year on August 10th - 12th in Chicago, Illinois. Ginza is hosted on the grounds of the largest Japanese Buddhist Temple in the midwest, and attracts thousands of people each year. All weekend long there will be a selection of traditional Japanese entertainment ranging from martial arts, to taiko. This is the perfect event in Chicago to wear your own Japanese kimono or yukata to. Ideally a yukata is worn to this kind of informal summer Japanese festival. Additionally there are a wide variety of displays dedicated to traditional Japanese arts such as Ikebana, Wood Block Prints, and several crafts persons from Japan. We are a part of the market place and are excited to offer a full range of traditional Japanese kimono. In stock this weekend we will have a heavy focus on affordable vintage yukata featuring traditional designs, various types of stretch tabi socks and wooden geta, silk haori, and more. We will have in our stock a variety of youth yukata as well. The authentic Japanese kimono for sale at our kimono booth will all be ready to wear, and in presentable and clean condition without any major rips, or significant stains. We are happy to fully dress our customers in kimono style that is a culturally respectful manner ideal for wearing around the festival. Additionally, we will have a great selection of new kitsuke tools such as koshishimo, obi-ita, and more. Admission to this weekend event is only $5, so stop on by and help support the Midwest Buddhist temple and party like the Japanese. We hope to see you this weekend :D
